For Pam's 50th birthday, we invested in a 1969 VW bus. And soon afterwards, Tingalayo was born. Spring 2015 was very exciting.

Our favourite place in the winter on the North Island of New Zealand was Hotwater Beach. Even though we were wearing jeans and thick sweaters as we arrived, we were soon in our bathing suits, laying in a hot tub in the sand that we had dug ourselves with this shovel.

About Us
We are Pam and Wally, passionate retired high school teachers, compassionate donkey caregivers, and gentle walkers upon the Earth. We are the makers of maple syrup, the growers of sunflowers and zinnia and kale, and players of the guitar and bodhran. We are the gatherers of beautiful memories and are rarely found without cameras in hand. We see the world for all of its humour, grace and whimsy; and hope to leave the world a better place than when we first entered it. We are happy to share with you our love of photography through some of our favourite weddings and family photos we have taken in the past 19 years. And, of course, you need to meet our joyful donkeys.

Donkeys
We had one horse. We randomly ended up with one donkey. And we learned that she was not as much like a horse as we thought she was. Then we got another donkey. And we learned a bit more. Now there are seven donkeys and one horse and one hinney at our place, and the learning continues. We have made a commitment to these furry beasts and it has become very important to us to share what we have learned to make this world a better place for all donkeys.
Photography
We have been taking photos as long as we can remember. We used to take them using this stuff called "film". Our jump into the digital world was made with great trepidation. And that lasted about 10 seconds. We are in love with everything photography. Whether the end product comes from the darkroom or our computer, our cameras allow us to see and feel the world with greate depth. We both taught photography at our high school, we have photographed many, many weddings, and we have our cameras out nearly every day to capture the next beautiful moment that we discover. The donkeys are amazing models and love to pose for us.
